The Amputee Coalition of BC Society (ACBC) is a not-for-profit society, originated and driven by amputees, dedicated to assisting people with limb loss along with their families and friends. Our vision is to see all amputees move forward with no limits.

We do this by:

  • Helping to find support groups for amputees and their caregivers
  • Providing information on locating and choosing a prosthetist
  • Coordinating with local Peer Visitor Referral programs
  • Providing information on Provincial and Federal benefits
  • Providing resources for health and wellness both pre- and post amputation
  • Advocating for amputee rights and fair treatment with governmental and insurance organizations

Our Mission is to reach out to fellow amputees and provide a venue that provides relevant information and inspiration, and to partner with like-minded organizations to enact positive change to policies affecting benefits and medical care for amputees in British Columbia.

The Cerebral Palsy Association of BC (CPABC) was founded in 1954 by families who wanted to make a difference for their children living with cerebral palsy. Today, that same desire to improve the disability community remains and now it has evolved into an independent, charitable organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors.

The CPABC boasts a wide range of programs and services which provide support, education and information to those who need it most.
